Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using POp-wallet.ca (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What the Service is -- and isn't
POp-wallet.ca is a free tool that helps you compare Canadian credit cards and figure out which card to use for different kinds of purchases, based on spending information you provide.
Card information accuracy
We work to keep the credit card information in our database (fees, interest rates, earn rates, and terms) accurate and current, and we regularly re-verify it against official issuer sources. Even so, card issuers can change their terms at any time, sometimes without much notice. Always confirm the current terms directly with the card issuer before applying for or relying on any card. We aren't responsible for decisions made based on information that turned out to be outdated or inaccurate.
Affiliate disclosure
Creating an account
You can use most of the Service without an account. If you create one, you agree to:
- Provide a real, working email address you have access to (needed for account verification and security purposes).
- Keep your password confidential, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.
- Be responsible for the accuracy of the profile and spending information you choose to enter -- it only affects the recommendations shown to you.
You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or the systems behind it.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated scraping, excessive requests, or attempts to circumvent rate limiting.
- Submit false, misleading, or abusive content through the contact form or any other input.
- Use the Service to build a competing product without our permission.
Intellectual property
The Service's design, branding, and original written content belong to POp-wallet.ca. Credit card names, logos, and issuer trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recommendation will result in a specific financial outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, POp-wallet.ca and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on information or recommendations it provides. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from the account menu -- this is a two-step process requiring your password and an emailed confirmation code, and it permanently removes your account data. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for anyone who violates these terms.
Changes to the Service or these terms
We may modify or discontinue features of the Service, and may update these terms from time to time. If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
